I'm not entirely sure I'm up for blogging anymore, guys. I'm really sorry, but I'm busy. My life is changing drastically in the next 4 months, and I need to focus on boring things like school..school...and my band (which isn't boring). Don't get me wrong, I love blogging! I still am obsessed with fashion, the industry, and style, but I don't think I have time or energy to express that on here anymore. I might post occasionally over the summer, for my own enjoyment, but for the most part, I'm done. I love you all, and I will STILL look at your blogs! Daily, as well! This has been a really wonderful ride, and I've been introduced to the amazing world of blogging. It just isn't for me any longer. Thank you for reading my posts, and sticking with me.

I will do one last fashion-related post, so look forward to that in the next few days. Then I'm finished.

I will lead you to a different blog that you should follow just as faithfully as this one! No, it's not a fashion blog, but it's hilarious and my friends are geniuses for creating this. This blog should be HUGE like Hipster Runoff or something. GO to hipsterandfriend.blogspot.com NOW!!!!

OK BYE YOU GUYS LOVE YOU I'M DEEPLY SORRY!

back

wow, i hate to keep apologizing, because i know it gets old, but really, i've been such a bad blogger for the past two months!! school is busier than ever, and a lot of stuff has happened in the past few weeks. thankfully, i'm on holiday right now for thanksgiving. no class this entire week! wooo!

as we all know, christmas is right around the bend, and i'm starting to make my lists of presents to get, for myself and for friends. christmas is probably my favorite holiday, because i just absolutely love giving gifts. but we should all be able to think about ourselves once in a while, right? well, here's what i wouldn't mind owning this december..

this shop is getting a lot of attention lately, and boy, is it well deserved. i bought my brother some really nice glasses for his birthday, so i'm hoping he's willing to return the favor by buying me some equally nice clothes. ;)
this sweater is absolutely amazing.

the cloak is also pretty freaking awesome. i love anything with a hood.

wow, i hate to keep apologizing every time i post, but i've been so busy lately. my first huge paper of the year was due this past friday, and this weekend i was away.

this dress is just so gorgeous. if i can save up $70, i'm getting it!

this week might be a little less hectic. thanks for bearing with me!

my favorite things this week

i'm so sorry i haven't posted in forever!! i have been so busy. i know i always give that excuse, but it's true.

anyway, i think these posts should become weekly. what say ye?

this is pretty much the greatest thing ever. via nude lumiere.

for some reason, this is easy for me...i pick good looking and intelligent! i'll never be emotionally stable and i'm fine with that haha.

i'm really contemplating buying this. it's so pretty, and it can be a headband!!! and i think you know how much i love headbands haha. i wear one almost every day, literally.

the news

i painted my nails this really awesome black purple. the picture doesn't do the color justice...it's not that black, it's a really deep, deep purple.

also, the jacket i have on in the picture is my favorite jacket right now. it's an 80s j. crew jean one that my mom gave me. hehe. it's perfect.

in other news, albert hammond jr. finally showed off his new line of suits, which are only 43 in number, sold at an exclusive boutique in hollywood, and are all around 2000 bucks. but wow, aren't they delicious?

so yeah, if you're a guy and you have $2000 and you can somehow get these suits, go for it. please. haha.

my favorite things this week

these are some looks i've either wanted to channel or have stared at for an endless amount of time this week:

i can't remember where this picture is from, but these girls are just perfect.

the new lyell collection is perfect. and i mean PERFECT. it's so...me. haha.

can anyone tell me what this picture is? it looks like it's taken from a runway..but i have no idea from what designer. it's such a lovely look though.

i love this girl's hair. very 20s. unfortunately, that will never happen with my hair.

speaking of hair, i like when guys have really REALLY great hair. like this guy:

both pictures above are from vanessa jackman

love, lydia

i want to get away

from the clothes horse, the sartorialist, knight cat, and that amazing vogue italia editorial.

gorgeous song...and now it's on the twilight soundtrack. congrats, grizzly! i really have nothing against the fact that all the kiddies watching twilight will now love grizzly bear. or beach house! they deserve the new fans.

in other news, i'm in desperate need of:

1.a trip to some faraway place. italy would do well. or athens.

2.a haircut

3.a root touch-up. my roots are black as black can beee.

4.some retail therapy.

alas, only two of those things will be accomplished this week. i missed all last week of school, so i have tons of make-up work.

i'm really sick

all i wanna do is curl up in my bed and watch a good movie and drink chamomile tea.

i want this guy to be my friend:

the first day i can wear tights is always a momentous occasion-today was the day. fall weather makes me want to wear these and frolic in a forest:

i'm very sorry

i haven't posted in the longest time! the truth is i've been extremely busy lately. insanely busy! the only things i've been doing for the past few weeks is practicing piano incessantly, running, and writing endless essays and reading endless books.

i did go see the horrors/crocodiles/the burning hotels at the granada the other night, which was pretty nifty. they were all really great, really talented.
the burning hotels:

one really blurry picture of crocodiles (there lighting was dim and they moved around...a lot):

faris recognized my brother and i from previous shows, which made my week.

another band that has made my week is fanfarlo. i rediscovered how much i love them...now if only they would come here!!

alright...i'll post soon, i promise! right now i have to do more work.. :(

just some of the collections i've liked over the past few days of nyfw:

behnaz sarafpour was really pretty and ladylike...and also a bit boring, but very realistic. i don't think i'd necessarily wear most of the pieces, but i would definitely enjoy looking at them on other people haha.

erin fetherston was lovely, what with the shoes and little gloves and hats.

i really loved this look from dkny:

other than that and a few other outfits, i didn't like that collection.

karen walker was cool. there was kind of a party-in-the-hamptons thing going on, but the slight quirks and awesome socks and HATS made up for it. i also loved the psychedelic print.

ok, i think the glasses could have been put aside...but still, very nice, very nice.

i was also pleased with united bamboo. everything's kinda shiny and looks fit for a clown, which is awesome. and, of course, i loved the pale pink pieces.

plus, ali michael was in this show, which made me proud. she's from mah city, you know.

jeremy laing was cold and reminded me of concrete. i love the shapes of some of the clothes.

gary graham's lookbook is breathtakingly beautiful. i mean, wow! look at that fabric!
